IPIRC Visited Asian International Arbitration Centre

On the morning of April 8, 2024, at the invitation of Mr. Bryan Richard, the Head of Business Development at Asian International Arbitration Centre, Professor Long Xiaoning, Director of the Intellectual Property and Innovation Research Centre (IPIRC) , Xiamen University Malaysia, and Mr. Gan, a renowned legal expert from Gan & Zul, visited the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), with their delegation. Mr. Bryan Richard, the Head of Business Development, and Ms. Ng Chu Yin, the Head of Legal at AIAC, warmly welcomed the faculty and students and held a productive meeting. In the arbitration centre’s meeting room, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions. First, Professor Long Xiaoning introduced the history, objectives, and vision of the IPIRC. Mr. Bryan Richard then elaborated on the centre’s historical development and its role in international business and legal arbitration practices. Subsequently, both parties engaged in fruitful discussions on future cooperation matters and expressed the desire to help enhance intellectual property protection within the region through collaboration. Finally, Mr. Bryan Richard and Ms. Ng Chu Yin led the faculty and students on a tour of the AIAC, providing further insights into its functions and history. The visit enhanced the mutual understanding between the Intellectual Property and Innovation Research Centre, Xiamen University Malaysia, and the Asian International Arbitration Centre, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
