On the afternoon of November 5, 2023, the Zhigong Innovation and Entrepreneurship Service Group visited Xiamen University Malaysia (hereinafter referred to as “XMUM”). The visiting members included Ms. Lin Yanbin from Xuchu Group Co., Ltd., Mr. Chen Yuanyang from Xiamen Fine-Pat Intellectual Property Agency, Mr. Chen Weimin from Chiyu Banking Co. Ltd., Mr. Yang Zhenyu from Fujian Hengjia Law Office, and Ms. Chen Lu from Xiamen Times Bocuan Co., Ltd. Professor Wang Huiqiong, Assistant President of XMUM, Professor Cheryl Xiaoning Long, Director of the Intellectual Property and Innovation Research Centre (hereinafter referred to as “IPIRC”), as well as student representatives participated in the welcome symposium.

During the symposium, Professor Wang Huiqiong stated that in addition to steadily improving quality of teaching and scientific research, XMUM always attaches great importance to serving the Malaysian society. Its graduates not only met industry demands for talents, but also have become friendship bridges connecting China, Malaysia, and other ASEAN countries. Professor Cheryl Xiaoning Long mentioned that IPIRC aims to build a high-quality platform for academic exchanges and industry dialogues, where an array of high-caliber, multifaceted IP services will be delivered. She encouraged the visiting members to join in the IPIRC’s efforts.
